Matt Hill
Planning Director
Matt is a Planning Director with more than a decade of experience delivering complex development projects across London and the South East. He has particular expertise in major urban regeneration, co-living and infrastructure projects, advising clients on planning strategy and helping to navigate projects through increasingly complex policy and development contexts.
Since joining Maddox Planning in 2017, Matt has progressed from Senior Planner to Planning Director and has played an important role in the continued growth of the practice. His experience spans both private consultancy and local government, giving him a strong understanding of how planning decisions are made as well as the commercial and delivery pressures faced by clients and project teams.
Matt’s approach is focused on providing clear, practical advice and maintaining momentum through the planning process, particularly on projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing technical considerations. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of Sheffield and is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
